This weighty tome contains 1282 pages of detailed mechanical instruction for the majority of cars on the road in 1940 of either British, Canadian or American origin. It provided an essential war time guide (when many qualified mechanics were away fighting abroad) for service stations, engineers, fleet operators, owner-drivers and technical college students, with a foreword by racing icon Sir Malcolm Campbell, the first man in the world to drive a car at more than 300 M.P.H.

I am privileged to be finding a new home for this treasure, on behalf of its current owner, the son of a well known farmer bull dozer contractor from Okaihau in the Far North, who no doubt made extensive use of this treatise in the 40's and 50's.

Half leather hard covers, embossed, published by Angus & Roberston. In VG+ condition for its considerable vintage. Foxing. minor staining, wear and tear and scuffs. Sound spine and binding. Overall a lovely collectors copy and a scarce find!
