This is a fascinating paper back telling us the history of the stunning Far North Harbour, its landscapes, its people, and their rich history of settlement, by tangata whenua and later by European settlers.
In this first full-length history, Jack Lee, through the major use of preserved oral records, has created a fascinating insight for this little-documented part of New Zealand.
Published by Reed, second edition 1996. VG+, 319pp
Together with ephemera - a souvenir brochure of the 65th anniversary celebrations of Waiotemarama School, held March 26th, 1955.
