This was an iconic book of its day, often a special gift for family and friends, as Cuthbert and Dora did with this brand new first edition when they gifted it to Mother, way back in June 1908, the year of its original publication.
It has a stunning hardback cover with the original illustration of the 'white chief' intact. Within, you will find fifteen illustrations including striking weapons, a stunning carved door-lintel, examples of "Moko" on a man's face and on a woman's lips and chin; a flute of bone, carved boxes, greenstone axes and a Maori war-canoe.

Orders are processed within one working day of the order being placed. Once processed, our standard delivery times are between 3-5 working days (within the Auckland region). Rural deliveries may take an additional 1–2 days.
