This is a rare and important historical New Zealand book indeed!
Pember Reeves had moved to London to be the official Agent-General for NZ, when he wrote this short history of New Zealand. This book provided what became the standard, largely unquestioned, interpretation of New Zealand history until the 1950s, when it was still in print. It gives a New Zealand Liberal view of the country's development. It is sympathetic to the Māori and places great emphasis on the role of the colonising companies such as the New Zealand Company.
The book includes b&w illustrations and is complete with colour fold out maps of both Islands, featuring tribal boundaries of the Maori.

Standard shipping:
Orders are processed within one working day of the order being placed. Once processed, our standard delivery times are between 3-5 working days (within the Auckland region). Rural deliveries may take an additional 1–2 days.
